അപ്പ നമ്മടെ ആ പോസ്റ്റ് നമ്മ പിന്‍‌വലിക്ക്യേണ് കേട്ടാ. ഏത് പോസ്റ്റെന്നല്ലേ, പറയാം.
പുലി വരുന്നു, പുലി വരുന്നു എന്നൊക്കെപ്പറഞ്ഞ് നമ്മ ഒരു പോസ്റ്റ് ഇട്ടിരുന്നില്ലേ, ചെന്നൈയില്‍ നടക്കാന്‍ പോവുന്ന ബ്ലോഗ് സമ്മേളനത്തെപ്പറ്റി. അതിന്യേണ് ഡിലീറ്റാന്‍ പോവുന്നത്.
കാരണമല്ലേ, മിനിമം രണ്ടെണ്ണമുണ്ട്.
മുക്കിനുമുക്കിന് രാഷ്ട്രീയ സമ്മേളനങ്ങള്‍ നടക്കുന്ന കേരളമണ്ണിന്‍റെ മക്കളെ കോണ്‍‌ഫറന്‍സ് എന്തെന്ന് പഠിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതില്ല. എന്നാല്‍ അണ്‍‌കോണ്‍‌ഫറന്‍സ് എന്നൊക്കെ പറഞ്ഞാല്‍ നമ്മ കാതുകൂര്‍പ്പിക്കും. ചെലപ്പ വീണും പോവും! ചെന്നൈയില്‍ നടക്കാന്‍ പോവുന്ന ബ്ലോഗ് സമ്മേളനത്തെ, ഉപജ്ഞാതാക്കളായ സയ്യിദ് റസീക് നസീറും കൃപാശങ്കറുമൊക്കെ വിശേഷിപ്പിച്ചത് അണ്‍‌കോണ്‍‌ഫറന്‍സ് (അസമ്മേളനം) എന്നായിരുന്നു. പേരിന്‍റെ മൊഞ്ചില്‍ മയങ്ങി, അസമ്മേളനത്തിന് പേര് കൊടുത്ത കേശവന്‍റെ വിലാപങ്ങളാണ് ഇത്.
അസമ്മേളനത്തിന്‍റെ വിവരങ്ങള്‍ അപ്പപ്പോള്‍ അറിയിക്കാന്‍, സയ്യിദും കൂട്ടുകാരും തുടങ്ങിയ വിക്കിയില്‍ തിങ്കളാഴ്ച കയറിയപ്പോള്‍ എന്തോ പന്തികേട്. “ഞമ്മക്ക് അണ്‍‌കോണ്‍‌ഫറന്‍സ് കാണാന്‍ വരുന്നവരേയും കേള്‍വിക്കാരെയും വേണ്ട. ലിസ്റ്റില്‍ കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന എന്തെങ്കിലുമൊന്ന് ചെയ്യുന്നവരെയേ വേണ്ടൂ” എന്ന് അടിച്ചു വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ലിസ്റ്റ് നോക്കി, Make a presentation, help with organising, live-blog, moblog, podcast or vlog the event! ഹൌ, ഇതിനൊന്നും കഴിവില്ലെങ്കില്‍ നീ ഔട്ട്!
അണ്‍‌കോണ്‍‌ഫറന്‍സ് പോയിപ്പോയി അലമ്പാവുകയാണല്ലോ എന്ന് മനസ്സില്‍ കരുതി, വെറുതെയൊന്ന് ഗൂഗ്ലിയപ്പോഴല്ലേ ഗുട്ടന്‍സ് ചൂണ്ടയില്‍ കൊത്തിയത്. ദേ കിടക്കുന്നു, അണ്‍‌കോണ്‍‌ഫറന്‍സ് എങ്ങനെ ഒണ്ടാക്കിയെടുക്കണം എന്ന പാചകക്കുറിപ്പോടെ ഒരു വിക്കി താള്. വായിച്ചു, ബോധം കെട്ടു. കേഡര്‍ പാര്‍ട്ടി സെറ്റപ്പുകളില്‍ പോലും ചെയ്യാത്ത ആചാരവിധി പ്രകാരമാണ് അണ്‍‌കോണ്‍ഫറന്‍സെന്ന കുര്‍ബാന അര്‍പ്പിക്കേണ്ടതെത്രെ.
ഒപ്പം തന്നെ മറ്റൊന്നു കൂടി എനിക്ക് മനസ്സിലായി. ടെക്കി ഗീക്കുകള്‍ മസില്‍ വീര്‍പ്പിക്കാന്‍ നടത്തുന്ന ക്യാമ്പുകള്‍ കൂടിയാണ് ഈ അണ്‍‌കോണ്‍‌ഫറന്‍സുകള്‍. “കാട്രുക്കെന്ന വേലി” (കാറ്റിനെന്ത് അതിര്‍ത്തി) എന്നു പാടുന്ന ബ്ലോഗ് സങ്കല്‍പ്പവും സാങ്കേതിക പടുത്വം ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്ന ഗീക്കിംഗും തമ്മിലെന്ത് ബന്ധമെന്ന് ചിന്തിച്ചു. പുടികിട്ടി! സര്‍വ്വവ്യാപിയായി വീശുന്ന ബ്ലോഗന്‍ കാറ്റിനെ ടെക്കി ഗീക്കുകകളുടെ ആട്ടിന്‍ തൊഴുത്തില്‍ കെട്ടാനാണ് ശ്രമം. ഒരുതരം ടെക്നോളജിക്കല്‍ ഫ്രാഹ്മണിസം!
ടെക്കി ഗീക്കുകളുടെ ക്യാമ്പ് ഫയറില്‍ തീകായാനൊരുങ്ങുന്ന ബ്ലോഗിനെ തിരിച്ചുപിടിക്കാന്‍ എന്‍റെ വക ചെറിയൊരു ഉദ്യമം നടന്നു. മലയാളികളായ ബ്ലോഗര്‍മാര്‍ അറിയാന്‍ ഞാനത് ഇവിടെയിടുന്നു.

Dear Syed,
I thought of pointing out something very crucial which is related to the freedom of individuals.I got bewitched by the term UNCONFERENCE at first glance and later totally dissappointed to know more about it from Wiki. UNCONFERENCE is a term which is related to Geek community!!!!! And having named the gathering as UNCONFERENCE, we are trying to pull the fast emerging community tool, Blogging towards the Geek side and to freeze it for the Techy Geeks. I fear that this is some kind of Technology Brahmanism!
The narration on UNCONFERENCE runs like this at Wiki: The opening includes time for attendees introduce themselves and orient to the whole group. Participants are invited to write the name of there session topic and their name on an 8.5×11 paper!!! (It is a cruel joke to tie a cadre ceremony with freesphere of the Net! UNCONFERENCE ritual described on WIKI reminds me of cadre party meetings and training camps!)
And Dave Winer's explorations on meaning of the unconference: "First, you take the people who used to be the audience and give them a promotion. They're now participants." This theory is not new to us. It is almost like setting up an already known result and experimenting towards to prove it.
My humble suggestion is this - Can we try to add some value to the term UNCONFERENCE without duplicating it. I firmly believe that our context is far away from the concept of UNCONFERENCE. Let us not religiously follow the UNCONFERENCE steps described on WIKI. Le us follow the steps of WIKI where in we can change or add something new to the UNCONFERENCE information given there. At times, we need to interfere with the history. Otherwise, we may be charged for being morons.
For an argument, let us assume that listening and spectating are lesser thought processes as wandering in the streets. And to our wonder, Blog allows all these. When we try to avoid potential bloggers alleging that they are only listeners, I fear, it is against the concept of blogging itself. Finally Blog UNCONFERENCE has to be free and democratic in its spirit and breath, not in its letter.
Please enlighten me if I am wrong :)

We need people like you who question the very foundation ... Have you read The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand?? Hope you get the message!

Hope that you may be interested in knowing Ayn Rand in a zoom view....
Before Ayn Rand was known as the campaigner against collectivism, she was Alissa Zinovievna Rosenbaum, a Jewish girl who born on February 2, 1905, in St. Petersburg, Russia (Sciabarra 24). Rand was born into the bourgeoisie and was lavished with extravagances. Her father was a wealthy pharmacist and friend of the czar; therefore, Rand received the best education. A very bright child who did well in school, she became bored easily, so to keep her mind occupied she began to write stories in school instead of taking notes.
A pensive child she enjoyed all the luxuries an influential bourgeois family was able to bestow on her. On one of her many trips to London she declared she would be a writer because she was inspired by the opportunities of observing other cultures.
After World War I and when the Bolshevik Revolution began, Rand’s family’s comfort was taken away by the new rulers of Russia. Her father was forced to nationalize his pharmacy, and the family went broke. Watching her father lose his business and losing her own comforts, Rand’s anger towards collectivism formed. She was outraged when the army came to make her father’s store the property of the state; this event influenced her hatred for altruism and gave her a new respect for capitalism!
